Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational diving begins with the Divemaster program. In this program you are working closely with our instructors to expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities and qualifies you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. 

During the Divemaster program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study on subject topics from dive theory to assisting student divers in training. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organise and solve problems.

This knowledge is then put into action through a series of practical training exercises involving supervising certified divers in open water and students in confined water and open water training situations. These requirements can be thoroughly met through our Great Barrier Reef Divemaster Internship Program.
