Courses Introductory Dives For those who have never dived before to give it a go without having to do the open water course Can be done in 2 - 3 hours Open Water This course opens the world of diving to you and what better place to start your diving adventure than the 1770 area and the Great Barrier Reef, where you can be assured of personalised service and a relaxed, fun atmosphere in what many people are discovering is a small piece of paradise. This course teaches you  the basics about diving and enables you to dive all over the world to a depth of 18 metres. Typically running for 4-5 days, it includes learning theory in the classroon, practicing in the  pool and then dives in the ocean. We have courses for every budget, from the bare bones backpacker special to the premium which includes a full set of equipment!! What you get!! The backpacker special takes 4 days and includes : Use of  all equipment Instruction in the classroom and pool 4 dives from the shore in the 1770 area. The standard open water course : We've descided to make our standard course run over a 5 day period with 6 open water dives. This gives you more time in the water enabling you to come out a more competent diver and therefore enjoy your diving more, not to mention finishing it off on the Great Barrier Reef.
